Robin Van Persie is the son of two artists, Van Persie was actually encouraged to follow his parents' footsteps, but he instead preferred football to his young squad and joined SBV Excelsior.
He made his breakthrough at hometown club Feyenoord, where he spent three seasons and won the UEFA Cup in 2002.
Dispute with coach Bert van Marwijk culminated and ended up making Van Persie moved to Premier League with Arsenal worth 2.75 million pounds in 2004. At the beginning of the 2012-2013 season skipper decided to move to Manchester United for the title he has long dreamed of.
